What is Resilience?

Resilience is being able to adapt in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, or stress. Being resilient doesn’t mean you won’t feel stress or have difficulties, but it will give you the tools to cope with, and even grow through, difficult situations.

The good news is that becoming resilient can be learned. It takes time and practice, but it is well worth it.

Becoming resilient will create a shield between you and compassion fatigue.
