Justice & Mercy Legal Aid Center

The Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center (JAMLAC) is a faith-based 501(c)(3) organization providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals, primarily victims of domestic violence and other crimes. JAMLAC offers full representation in family and immigration law, consultations, advocacy and legal workshops that help survivors, immigrants and other clients seek justice.

Family Tree: Domestic Violence Services

Family Tree is the only organization in the region focusing on the interconnected issues of child abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness. Domestic Violence Services keep survivors and children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault and/or stalking safe through our crisis line, emergency shelter (Roots of Courage), safety planning, legal advocacy and linkages to community resources. All services are available in English and Spanish and we will work with those needing languages other than English and Spanish through utilizing interpretation services.

Mountain Dreamers

Mountain Dreamers is a Summit County-based nonprofit, founded in 2018, that provides advocacy, legal services, and resources to immigrants in Colorado's Central Mountain Region. Accredited by the DOJ, they offer immigration support, tax assistance, and the Oso Outdoors program, which provides bilingual ski/snowboard classes to break down outdoor access barriers.

Office of the Child’s Representative: Youth Center

Colorado Office of the Child’s Representative (OCR) is committed to ensuring that children and youth have a voice in the Colorado legal system through effective attorney services, practice, and advocacy. To further this goal, OCR supports and promotes youth empowerment throughout the court process, including youth participation in court hearings and case events.

Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center

The Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center (RMvlc) is a Colorado-based non-profit providing free legal information, referrals, limited assistance, legal representation, technical assistance, consultation, training, and outreach to victims of violent crimes, including sexual assault, domestic violence, and homicide.

The Justice Center

The Justice Center provides free legal aid in the Pikes Peak region. We prioritize help for immigrants in Colorado, regardless of citizenship or immigration status. Clients can obtain free legal advice at our clinics or free or reduced cost representation in court. The Justice Center also offers educational resources on family law, housing law, and immigration law.

A project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) that provides plain-language legal information, resources, and a confidential email hotline for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. It covers state-specific laws on restraining orders, custody, divorce, and gun laws to help survivors understand their legal rights and safety options such as shelters.

ACLU Colorado

With a mission to protect, defend and extend the civil rights and civil liberties of all people in Colorado through litigation, education and advocacy, the ACLU offers Know Your Rights trainings, works with students and young professionals interested in civil liberties, writes letters, talks to government agencies and files lawsuits on behalf of clients whose rights have been violated.

Transformative Justice Project of Colorado

A Denver-based non-profit aiming to abolish the school-to-prison pipeline for youth aged 10–25. TJP provides free legal advocacy, education support, mental health care, and resources, particularly for Black, Brown, disabled, and LGBTQ+ youth. Their approach focuses on challenging systemic racism by walking alongside youth to navigate school discipline, probation, and reintegration.
