Little Flower Assistance Center

This Catholic Charities powerhouse is a food pantry, clothing closet and resource center that offers tremendous support for the community. Little Flower partners with a host of amazing parishes, businesses, agencies, organizations and volunteers to receive and distribute food and critical supplies to neighbors in Aurora and beyond.

The Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible hard-working Colorado families, seniors and individuals pay a portion of their winter home heating costs. Our goal is to help bring warmth, comfort and safety to your home and family by assisting with heating costs.

Metro Caring

As Colorado’s leading frontline anti-hunger organization, Metro Caring works with our community to meet people’s immediate need for nutritious food while building a movement to address the root causes of hunger. Also provide assistance obtaining documents such as birth certificates and financial assistance.

National Runaway Safeline

 A 24/7 national communication system providing crisis intervention, resources, and support for runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth (ages 12-21) and their families. It offers a live chat feature, educational materials, a free, evidence-based curriculum to prevent youth homelessness and free bus tickets home for runaway youth.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

When families have a seriously ill child and need medical care far from home, they can turn to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver for a home away from home, at no cost to them. Our Houses are places where laughter is shared, friendships are formed and hope is nurtured.

Salvation Army: Lambuth Family Center

The primary goal of this facility is to help families break the cycle of poverty and homelessness and to begin building a sustainable, self-sufficient lifestyle. Find information on donating material goods such as clothing, furniture, vehicles, and other items.

St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul offers a number of emergency assistance programs to Denver Colorado families. Thousands of individuals receive help every year, whether financial for paying bills or rent to hot meals, items for a job, food or meals and more. The funding for most of the resources originates from the thrift store as well as donations.

STRIDE Community Health Center

STRIDE partners with the community to provide excellent, culturally-sensitive health services to meet the needs of each individual. This non-profit healthcare organization provides medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy and community based services to the underserved, uninsured and working families that cannot afford these services. No one will be turned away because of their inability to pay.

Strive to Thrive

Strive to Thrive is a bi-annual event hosted by the Community of Care Network, usually in January and July. Agencies and organizations come together to offer a one-stop-shop resource fair for vulnerable residents in Douglas County. Participating agencies provide on-site services to those in attendance. Each event is different in terms of what is available, but in the past the event has offered food and nutrition assistance, emergency assistance applications, housing information and assistance, food, clothes, haircuts, and much more.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

This Federal nutrition program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), helps low-income households purchase food. Families and individuals can receive a monthly benefit to buy healthy food. They can double their benefits value by shopping at participating vendors that support the Double Up Food Bucks program.

Colorado Works

Colorado Works is the state’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, providing monthly cash assistance, job training, and support services to low-income families with children, including pregnant individuals. It helps eligible residents with basic needs like food, housing, and clothing while encouraging self-sufficiency through work activities.

We are ending youth homelessness by providing critical services that build a supportive community around young people, amplifying their voices and celebrating them as they grow. We have a 40-unit permanent supportive housing complex in Boulder and a 56-unit apartment complex in Denver, both for ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness.
