Offering an array of services from Early Intervention to adult services including residential and employment support, our comprehensive services are designed to help individuals thrive at every stage of life. With the support of over 300 passionate staff members, DDRC remains committed to creating a world where everyone is valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Developmental Disabilities Waiver

A waiver is an extra set of Health First Colorado (Colorado"s Medicaid program) benefits that you could qualify for in certain cases. These benefits can help you remain in your home and community. Waivers have extra program rules and some programs may have waitlists. The Home and Community-Based Services Waiver For Persons With Developmental Disabilities (DD) provides access to 24-hour, seven days a week supervision through Residential Habilitation and Day Habilitation Services and Supports. The service provider is responsible to support individuals in services to find living arrangements. Living arrangements can range from host homes settings with 1-2 persons, individualized settings of 1-3 persons, and group settings of 4-8 persons, as well as residential supports for participants who live in their own home or who live with and/or are provided services by members of their family.

Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation

We believe that anyone with a disability who wants to work, can work, regardless of the type or severity of their disability. We provide a wide variety of individualized services for people with disabilities. These services may allow you to reach your employment goals and live independently.

Early Intervention Colorado

Early Intervention (EI) Colorado provides free evaluations and services to children from birth to age 3 with developmental delays or qualifying disabilities. The program offers individualized support, including speech, physical, and occupational therapy, aimed at enhancing development, with a focus on coaching families within their daily routines.

Best Buddies Family Support Programs

Best Buddies Family Support programs offer comprehensive resources, guidance, and community for families raising individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). These programs aim to reduce isolation and foster supportive environments through parent mentorship (Eunie's Buddies), specialized sibling support, and educational resources, enhancing the overall well-being of the family unit.

El Grupo Vida

El Grupo Vida Colorado is a non-profit organization whose work consists of providing support, education and resources to Immigrant families on issues of disability, special education, community leadership and guardianship for all families who love members with different abilities, no matter your immigration status.

Firefly Autism

Firefly Autism is a Colorado-based non-profit organization, founded in 2003, dedicated to empowering autistic individuals of all ages through comprehensive, individualized ABA therapy, education, and support services. It offers center-based, home-based, and community-based programs, focusing on fostering independence, social skills, and vocational training using assent-based practices.

Humanex Academy

Humanex Academy is a private, independent, fully accredited, school for 6-12 grade neurodiverent students, including those with autism, anxiety, and learning disabilities. It offers a supportive, self-paced, and highly individualized academic program with a 4-to-1 student-teacher ratio, focusing on strengths-based learning, social-emotional growth, and executive functioning.

Imagine!

Imagine! provides services designed to incorporate people with developmental, cognitive, and physical challenges into the fabric of their communities. Services include educational and therapeutic services, job training and placement, recreation and leisure activities, opportunities for community living, behavioral health services, technology solutions, and support for families.

Instructional ABA Consultants

Instructional ABA Consultants (IABA) provides individualized, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism and developmental disabilities, focusing on communication, social skills, and independence. Operating in Illinois and Colorado, IABA offers clinic-based, in-home, and school-based services featuring parent training, insurance navigation, and tailored programming for children aged 18 months to five years.

REVEL

REVEL in Colorado is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting teens and adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDDs) through community integration, vocational training, and social programs. Based in Denver, it offers individualized, neuro-affirming services, including vocational training (REV UP), daily life skills (GEAR UP), and social experiences.

Denver Mill Levy Program

The Denver Mill Levy Program, administered by Rocky Mountain Human Services (RMHS) and funded by a 2003 taxpayer-approved property tax, provides flexible services for Denver residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. It offers essential supports, including housing stability, respite, and specialized equipment.

Special Olympics Colorado

Special Olympics Colorado (SOCO) provides year-round sports training and competition for over 28,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, offering 22+ sports at no cost to athletes or their families. Through athletic competition, inclusive Unified Champion Schools, and health programming, SOCO promotes physical fitness, empowerment, and inclusion across the state.

Understood

Understood is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with learning and thinking differences (like ADHD or dyslexia). They provide personalized resources, including expert-driven articles, tools, and community support to help individuals thrive at school, work, and in life from childhood through adulthood.

Show & Tell

Show & Tell (formerly known as the THRIVE Center) is a Colorado-based nonprofit organization and the state’s only Community Parent Resource Center (CPRC) focused on supporting families of children with disabilities. Founded in 2019, it functions as a parent-driven organization dedicated to empowering families—particularly Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) families—to advocate for their children from birth to age 26.

The Initiative

The Initiative is a Colorado-based 501(c)3 organization specializing in providing services, support, and resources to people with disabilities who are experiencing domestic violence, abuse, neglect, sexual assault, other violent crime. While we specialize in serving people with disabilities, we will work with all survivors, regardless of disability status, documentation, immigration status, sexual orientation, or identity.

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is a comprehensive community mental health center in Aurora, Colorado, offering a wide array of services for all ages, from children to seniors, focusing on mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions, with specialized programs for disabilities, homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of crime, all delivered through therapies, case management, medication services, and integrated care, plus a 24/7 Walk-in Crisis Clinic.
