MSU Denver Family Literacy Program

Our literacy services for the whole family are designed to uplift adults and children alike. We offer educational and career pathways for immigrant and refugee families, ensuring that enrolled parents receive the skills necessary to be the first and best teachers of their children. We provide extensive Adult Education services with a concurrent Early Learning Preschool, and a Home Visitation program that promotes literacy rich activities in households.

UCCS: MOSAIC Department

The UCCS MOSAIC department (Multicultural Office for Student Access, Inclusiveness, and Community) supports underrepresented students, including first-generation, LGBTQ+, and students of color, through advocacy, community-building, and education. Established in 2003, it offers mentorship, resources, and leadership development—including the MOSAIC Scholars Program—to promote equity and a welcoming campus climate.

North Littleton Promise

North Littleton Promise builds life giving relationships with immigrant kids and families to foster faith, education, and leadership in Christ-centered community. We provide after-school clubs, summer programs, and soccer teams for elementary, middle, and high school students, plus faith, education, and leadership opportunities for the whole family.

San Luis Valley Immigrant Resource Center

The San Luis Valley Immigrant Resource Center is a safe place for people to come and address immigration related questions and needs. The center provides services in an area where no other aid is available. SLVIRC’s services are non-governmental, confidential and minimum fee based.

The Center for Trauma & Resilience

The Center for Trauma & Resilience (CTR) in Denver, Colorado, provides comprehensive, no-cost services to victims of crime and trauma, focusing on culturally and linguistically responsive care. Operating since 1983, it offers crisis intervention, legal assistance to immigrants, counseling, and specialized therapy, including yoga, tai chi, and ear acupuncture, to assist in holistic healing and recovery from various crimes and traumatic events.

The New America School

The New America School (NAS) is a system of public charter high schools dedicated to serving a unique population – recent immigrants and their families and children who want to learn or perfect English and earn a high school diploma, non-traditional students, and traditional students seeking a more personal atmosphere that fits their learning needs. We are a fully accredited, publicly funded institution that serves students ages 14-21.

Global Entrepreneur Program

The Global Entrepreneur Program at WTC Denver is designed to support first-generation immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs in building and scaling their businesses. Through technical trade education, business foundation classes and certificates, monthly networking events, tailored mentorship, and funding opportunities, we help global founders navigate the complex world of business development.

DCSD: Special Education

Douglas County Schools also provides an intensive level of support in center-based programs for students who experience significant support needs, serious emotional disabilities, deaf and hard of hearing, and autism.  Center-based programming is designed to enable students to build the skills required to access and make progress in the general curriculum/environment to the fullest extent possible.

Best Buddies

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
