Douglas County Homeless Engagement, Assistance, & Resource Team (HEART)
The Homeless Engagement, Assistance and Resource Team (HEART) is Douglas County’s front-line response team for individuals experiencing homelessness. Formed in 2022, HEART is a co-responder program pairing navigators with local law enforcement to provide outreach, support and resources. HEART Navigators are experts in housing, behavioral health and case management. They meet people where they are with empathy and help connect them to the services they need.
Douglas County Housing Partnership
DCHP is a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved Housing Counseling Agency and provides foreclosure mediation services and home equity mortgage conversion (HECM) counseling to hundreds of Douglas County residents every year. Additionally, DCHP provides home buyer education and down payment assistance to first time homebuyers who wish to live in Douglas County.Rental housing, forclosure mediation, revere mortgage, approved lenders, loan package checklist, plublic notices.

GOALS
The GOALS program is a Two-Generation (2Gen) housing program for families experiencing homelessness from Aurora and Arapahoe County. GOALS provides families a private room while they develop long-term goals for stability. Families are provided a safe space for four to nine months and one year of follow-up support.

The City of Aurora has complied a resource guide to help families experiencing homelessness to identify community resources which they can access. Some of these resources include emergency weather shelters, drop-in day centers, shelters, food pantries/meals, behavioral health resources, Colorado legal services, veterans services, employment, and re-entry services.
Metro Denver Homeless Initiative
The Metro Denver Homeless Initiative (MDHI) coordinates a seven-county regional response to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring. It acts as the lead agency for the Metro Denver Continuum of Care (CoC), uniting over 70 organizations to manage data, provide OneHome coordinated entry, and implement evidence-based, data-driven housing solutions.
