Bullying Recovery Resource Center

BRRC defends bullied children and helps rebuild lives. The Bullying Recovery Resource Center (BRRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the resources, education and advocacy needed to stop bullying and stem the long-term effects that bullying has on its targets.

Shiloh House

Shiloh House offers nurturing, therapeutic and educational services to empower youth and families to overcome the impact of abuse, neglect, and childhood trauma. Through residential care, clinical intervention, Families First parenting classes, life skills coaching and advocacy Shiloh House meets the needs of the community while respecting the diversity of youth and families.

Hope House Colorado

Hope House is metro-Denver’s only resource providing free self-sufficiency programs to parenting teen moms, including Residential, High School & GED and College & Career Programs. Additional supportive services include parenting and healthy relationships classes, an Early Learning Program, health and wellness, financial literacy, and personal growth classes as well as certified counseling, all designed to prepare them for long-term independence. Hope House relies on numerous volunteers and local business partnerships to accomplish its mission.

Night Lights

Night Lights is a non-profit organization providing free, monthly, inclusive respite care for children with special needs and their siblings (ages 1 month to 13 years). Operating in multiple cities across the state, it offers safe, volunteer-staffed, and nurse-supported evenings (6:30–10 PM) for children, allowing parents a needed break. Because the safety of the children is paramount, we run nationwide background checks on staff and volunteers and require families to fill out annual paperwork.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies

ARR’s focus is on pulling at-risk dogs and cats from shelters. Rather than accepting owner surrenders, we offer the following resources to help you do everything possible to keep your pet with you, regardless of whether you’re moving, experiencing financial difficulties, or having behavior-related issues with your pet.

Boys & Girls Club of Denver Metro: Healthy Lifestyles Program

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, kids of all ages practice building healthy habits – for their minds and bodies. Every day we provide kids with the tools they need to envision and build a healthy life, educating them about nutrition, providing opportunities to play sports, and offering tools to say no to substance abuse and other risky behaviors. Through the Club, kids become informed consumers and learn how to use critical thinking skills to plan for a healthy, limitless future.

Through compassionate, practical, and values-based coaching, Ellen supports women in prioritizing their well-being, creating nourishing routines, and rediscovering joy, confidence, and calm. She offers virtual coaching sessions designed to meet moms exactly where they are, without guilt or pressure—just real, meaningful support.

Apto Physical Therapy and Wellness

It can be difficult to navigate the health care field, especially when you are seeking treatment for persistent pain or symptoms that are private in nature. At Apto Physical Therapy, you will receive sensitive and skilled care from a practitioner who has extensive experience working with people with complex presentations. Together, you and your provider will design a plan of care that fits into your lifestyle and helps you eliminate your symptoms. Physical therapy services include sports, orthopedic, pelvic floor, pregnancy and postpartum.

The Empowerment Program

The Empowerment Program is a Denver-based nonprofit that removes barriers to health, housing, education, and employment so individuals can live a healthier life. Since 1986, we have worked alongside our participants, primarily cis and transgender women who have lived experiences with the criminal legal system and/or homelessness, to connect them with the services they need to achieve their goals. Since our founding, we’ve redefined “Empowerment” as a form of collective action.

Denver Health Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care Providers are always available to assist patient and families with all emotional and spiritual care needs in the midst of illness, trauma, distress, and significant life changes that may occur while in the hospital. The services chaplains provide are interfaith and always respectful of a person’s beliefs and values whether they are people of faith or no faith. Chaplains can also arrange to have a community faith representative of the patient’s choice come and visit in the hospital.

Nurturing Newborns Respite Care

Nurturing Newborns, LLC currently has 18 respite care providers that work in the homes of families caring for an infant or toddler with delays, disabilities, serious illness, or complications of prematurity. They provide part-time support for parents and caregivers so that they can pause, practice self-care, and seek mental health support.

SafeHouse Denver

Serves survivors of domestic violence and their children through an Emergency Shelter, a non-residential Counseling & Advocacy Center and an Extended Stay Program. All of the adults, children and youth who come to SafeHouse Denver have access to a full range of bilingual programming, including individual counseling, group sessions, advocacy and safety planning.
