The Initiative
The Initiative is a Colorado-based 501(c)3 organization specializing in providing services, support, and resources to people with disabilities who are experiencing domestic violence, abuse, neglect, sexual assault, other violent crime. While we specialize in serving people with disabilities, we will work with all survivors, regardless of disability status, documentation, immigration status, sexual orientation, or identity.
Colorado Name Change Project
Colorado Name Change Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of transgender Coloradans by assisting them with their legal name change and gender marker corrections. Through workshops across the state, pro bono legal assistance, nonpartisan advocacy, and innovative technology implementation, we seek to make being who you truly are easier to accomplish.

Colorado Courts Self-Help
Provides procedural information, resources and forms to individuals representing themselves in court in non-criminal cases. Crucially, staff cannot provide legal advice, assist with criminal or traffic cases, or act as your legal advocate.

Colorado Poverty Law Project
Colorado Poverty Law Project believes no one should experience homelessness for lack of housing justice. Our mission is to prevent homelessness through legal representation, education, and advocacy. We provide free legal advice and representation, legal clinics, know-your-rights trainings, a Mobile Home Initiative, young adult programs, and housing navigation. We also pursue systemic changes through policy and legislative advocacy at the state and local level. We serve anyone that qualifies for our services despite their legal status.
