Denver Children’s Advocacy Center

The Denver Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing abuse, strengthening families, and restoring childhood through forensic interviews, mental health treatment, and community prevention programs. Founded in 1995, DCAC acts as a multidisciplinary hub in Denver, collaborating with law enforcement, human services, and medical professionals to provide immediate response and care to children traumatized by sexual abuse, physical abuse, and violence.

Denver Family Therapy Center

Our practice prides itself on providing comprehensive psychotherapy services to the greater Denver metro area since 1993. Therapy should be accessible—not stressful. We accept all private insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, and offer an affordable self-pay rate of $120 per session. We also accept most Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

Programs offer caring, compassionate treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, as well as specialized programming for active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and other high-risk frontline professionals. Programs include inpatient mental health and addiction treatment, inpatient psychiatric treatment for adolescents (12+), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and Help for Heroes®.

Doug Hanze, PhD

I offer psychological treatment including individual, marital, and family therapy. I also do parent-child therapy which is a variation of family therapy more typically involving a parent and child. I have worked with patients experiencing a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, behavior disorders, and divorce-related issues. Finally, I provide parent and divorce coaching.

We support inner city youth, men of color, and their families by transforming traditional therapy through creative, trusted spaces like gyms, barbershops, music studios, and boxing rings.

Ellie Mental Health is designed to make therapy accessible, authentic, and non-judgmental. It offers varied services, includingindividual therapy, play therapy, couples therapy, grief therapy, family therapy and trauma-informed therapy, both in-person and via telehealth. Ellie focuses on reducing barriers to care by accepting major insurance and focusing on therapist wellness to improve client outcomes.

The Emerald Couch

The Emerald Couch is a small family of specialists that care for trauma, depression and anxiety disorders in adult individuals and teenagers. We specialize in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP).

Florence Crittenton Services

Florence Crittenton Services pioneered a nationally recognized trauma-responsive two-generation program model that supports teen families through education, health and wellness, and economic and social asset building. Our campus is a full-service family resource center that includes an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Center, the Alethia E. Morgan, MD Health Center, and, through our 36-year partnership with Denver Public Schools, the on-site Florence Crittenton High School. On our new campus, we have extended our programming to offer services for teen families year round.

When she was young, she had no one to turn to who would listen, understand and guide her, and the results were substance misuse, trauma and self-destructive behavior. When she started HardBeauty, it was with youth in mind so that she could give them what she didn’t have: A friend, advisor and a partner in life who could help them figure it out and steer them towards an exciting future. We understand the needs of youth are unique and complicated, and we meet you where you are at. Whether you are dealing with addiction, isolation, bullying, feeling “different,” or are struggling with mental health issues, our coaches understand what you need and are trained professionals.
